7th-9th September (Friday & Saturday 10am-4pm, Sunday 1-3pm) We welcome five established artists to show their paintings and scultures in the former cloth warehouse in Sandsgate. Jonathan Newdick works from his studio in York carving sculptures in wood, stone and bronze. Chris Moss creates sculptures of domestic and wild animals using wire. The natural tension of hard drawn wire conveys energy and dynamism. Mel Davis is a painter. He produces bold and colourful images in a number of styles. Eric Moss works in raku where clay takes a spectacular elemental journey through fire, air and water to become ceramic. Kim Coley’s loose and fresh paintings “catpture the vivacity of nature through her brushstrokes and energetic mark-making”. (Image – Three Seed Pods, Eric Moss)
