Sunny Bank Mills Gallery is proud to be hosting the KPP Prize for Art Architecture and Design: Forms Assembled in the Light, in collaboration with KPP Architects.
Sunny Bank Mills and KPP Architects are taking submissions from artists, designers, makers, architects, film makers, photographers and creatives working in all media, for the The KPP Prize for Art Architecture and Design: Forms Assembled in the Light, an exhibition that will take place September 1st – October 28th 2018.
Sponsored by KPP Architects, there will be a prize of £1000 for work that best fits the brief.
We are looking for submissions that explore the theme of architecture; place, space, structure, a concept, or a model. A plan or a drawing, a piece of stone or a pot, a fabric or textile, a film. A line, a curve, a physical building, or the space within or external to it, a poem, jewellery and more…
KPP Architects was established in Leeds, West Yorkshire in 1969, and since its formation the Practice has delivered a substantial number of high quality buildings throughout the UK, including the regeneration and restoration of Sunny Bank Mills. The Architects Journal’s survey of Architectural Practices, lists KPP in the top 10 Industrial/Commercial Practices in the UK.
Sunny Bank Mills is a former worsted mill in Farsley, Leeds. The Sunny Bank Mills Gallery is an art, design and culture space housed in a light and tranquil 3000 sq ft old cloth warehouse exhibiting work by local and regional artists and designers.
