We are delighted to have attracted the help of Rachel Moaby for a period to start the exciting process of cataloguing the Archive. Rachel, a recent graduate from the University of Leeds with an MA in Art Galleries and Museum Studies has experience in display, conservation, Archive and documentation. Whilst the Archive rooms play host to Heritage Open Days, History Groups and other activities, we were keen to introduce a professional program to begin the long process of transforming the cloth, artifacts and ledgers into an accessible, useable resource. Rachel has the skills to start this process and we are excited to learn as much as we can from her! Keep an eye out for her monthly blogs showing the discoveries unearthed as she works through the archive.
