Sunny Bank introduces its Spring programme in the Gallery with Slip: an exhibition of contemporary ceramics, print and drawing. Ten ceramicists showcase and celebrate the diversity of process and sculptural form that can be produced using the same base product; a form of clay. Amongst those exhibiting are a number of Yorkshire artists including Eric Moss and Ben Arnup, Leeds based Jo Lee and Colin Jowitt and former Ones to Watch winner Siamak Foroutan. This work will sit alongside stunning graphite abstracts from studio holder Brisbane Taylor and beautifully composed still life prints (most of which are include a vase, jug and bowl) by Leeds based Sarah du Feu.
Forthcoming events include the return of Opera at the Mill on Friday 15th / Saturday 16th March Cavalleria Rusticana conducted by sought after Davide Levi will take place at the top of the stunning 1912 Mill. Davide has worked with some of the finest orchestras and opera companies in Europe; including The Royal Ballet and returns to the Mill to conduct the West Yorkshire Symphony Orchestra.
Dedicated to bringing classical music to audiences who would not normally consider attending a concert of this nature The West Yorkshire Community Orchestra are teaming up with the Gallery, Trouble at Mill and Salvos restaurant to bring an evening of gorgeous Italian food and great music. Before then 9th /10 February sees the return of The Leeds Vintage and Home Fair by Rose & Brown in the historic Old Woollen building with cafes in there and the Gallery.
