Comics as Life Writing with Una
24th November 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm| £7.50
Join us in the Gallery on 24th November for Comics as Life Writing with bestselling artist and writer Una.
The aim of these workshops is to help artists and writers of all levels to use drawing to think through, develop and plan characters and stories and to understand how life-stories can be developed as comics.
This is a creative workshop. You will do a lot of drawing, some writing and some friendly discussion and make a mini zine based on either an imaginative fiction or a memoir or biography relating to a life story. Examples of life-writing comics and graphic novels will be available for reference and inspiration before the workshop starts. Materials are provided. It is not necessary to be a fantastic artist to take part in this session, as long as you know how to doodle, you’ll be fine. (Fantastic artists are also welcome, of course).
All levels, ages 15+A limited number of subsidised places are available for people on a low income. Please apply by email for a place. firstname.lastname@example.org
